Our history begins with BIFU (K), which was registered on May 7th, 1986, to represent employees across a broad range of financial institutions. These include Banks, Insurances, SACCOs, Commercial Banks, Investment Banks, International Lending/Investment Institutions, Development Financial Institutions, Micro-finances, Forex Bureaux, Social Security Institutions, Parastatals, Financial/Revenue Institutions, Insurance Companies, Social Insurances, Insurance Brokers, Insurance Agents, Stock Brokers, Stock Exchanges, FOSAs, and the wider financial sector. If you are employed in any of the above sectors, you can exercise your constitutional and legal right as an employee to join us as a member by filling the membership form
Secure the complete organization of all unionisable employees of Banks, Insurance Companies, Financial institutions, Savings and Credit Societies in the Republic of Kenya by negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements on their behalf, handling of internal grievances upto the Employment & Labour Relations Court.
